Guillaume Courmont
Music classes, Drums and Guitar

Guillaume CourmontMr. Guillaume Courmont graduated in Music Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. He has taught music and choral singing at the Boston Music Education Collaborative and was trained in Indian Classical music at the Viswa Bharati University in India. Guillaume Courmont is the Director of the I.M.A.G.E. School Association and of the IDEAL Society. Music and Arts Summer Camp.

 

Alain Courmont
Cello

Alain CourmontMr. Alain Courmont graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (France), Alain Courmont won First Prize in cello and chamber music. He worked as an international soloist and cello teacher (Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique in Paris and Conservatoire Régional in Chalon-sur-Saône). He was also a soloist with the Paillard Chamber Music Orchestra. Alain Courmont recorded several pieces.

 

Leonor Tremblay
German

Leonor TremblayMs. Leonor Tremblay has 27 years of experience as a teacher in various fields and with all age groups. In 1977, Leonor Tremblay graduated from the University of Munich, Germany with a Masters in Education. Leonor Tremblay taught in elementary and secondary schools in Bavaria for 17 years and was also a tutoring supervisor for teachers and students.

 

Pierre Tremblay
French

Pierre TremblayMr. Pierre Tremblay was born in Québec. Pierre Tremblay has worked as a body worker and French teacher for the past 25 years... and he wants to continue sharing his knowledge with everyone who is up for it. Pierre Tremblay has been teaching French once a week at the Jaffray Secondary School since 2002 and gives lessons to adults in Cranbrook and Jaffray.

 

Marion Courmont
Arts & Carfts

Marion CourmontMs. Marion Courmont was born in France. She gratuated from the University of Aix-en-Provence with a Bachelor in Arts.
She has been working at the IDEAL Society for the past 10 years as a visual artist and teacher. She has given numerous Arts & Crafts workshops in Jaffray, Fernie and Sparwood. In 2005, she wrote and illustrated children's story book. Colours, light, nature and the beauty of life are her inspiration. Calligraphy, watercolour,acrylics and pencils are her tools.

Gilles Hainault
Piano

Gilles Hainault Mr. Gilles Hainault, M.A. in Music and Director of the IDEAL Society, Gilles Hainault is an accomplished composer, musician and choral director. Gilles Hainault has created and directed several choirs and given many seminars and workshops in choral singing. Gilles Hainault has been directing the Vera choir and Instrumental Ensemble Vera since its beginnings in 1993.

 

 

Sophie Gamache
Voice and Piano

Sophie Gamache - Sophia GamacheMs. Sophie Gamache discovered music at the age of 6, when she began to study the piano in her hometown of St. Jean, Quebec. In 1980 Sophie Gamache received her laureate in piano interpretation. Since then, Sophie Gamache devoted herself to the art of singing. Sophie Gamache graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor in voice interpretation and earned her Masters at Laval University in Quebec. Her passion for opera led her to pursue her studies in different voice techniques and styles in France, Germany and Italy. In 1991 she won 1st prize in a National Canadian Music Competition. A Soprano Coloratura, Sophie Gamache performed on Radio and Television and participated in many Opera productions. Sophie Gamache also took part in various concerts in North America as a soloist and with the Vera choir. Sophie Gamache is now teaching voice and directing various choirs at the IDEAL Society in Jaffray, BC.

 

 

 

 

Gabriel Hoffmann
Guitar and Theatre

Gabriel Hoffmann Mr. Gabriel Hoffmann was born in France. His parents moved to Germany where he studied the art of theatre, graduating from the University of Köln in 1978. Gabriel Hoffmann then worked at the professional theatre in Düsseldorf while simultaneously learning the art of stained glass, focusing on that activity when he moved to France in 1986. His passion for theatre was the strongest however, and he began working with independent theatre groups, wrote several plays and directed them all. Since 2001 Gabriel Hoffmann teaches theatre at the IDEAL Society and shares his experience through workshops and stage productions.
