Invites you to tell your human rights stories at the RACONTEURS’ CORNER.*

Dates: September 3-5, 2008
In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the RACONTEURS’ CORNER will be a special place on site, where participants may tell their stories of empowerment, human rights activism, and survival. Highlighting the diverse human experiences; promoting and honoring individual and community resilience and solidarity.
GUIDELINES :
- Each story will be recorded-on-site on a free CD. A copy of the story will be archived by the United Nations. A selection of stories will be viewed at the conference and may be posted on the website as well.
- Storytellers should tell in their first language
- Storytellers will be required to sign a legal waiver.
- Reserve a time to record in advance or sign-up at UNESCO.
