"My profession as an educator has given me the
opportunity, for most of my life and experience, to work with
people of all ages. As a professor, I endeavour to offer my
students an education which I feel is alive, as opposed to
simply passing on knowledge. Education is acquired
through experience, by interacting with Nature and with
our fellow human beings.
I was inspired by the ideas of the Russian philosopher and writer
Tolstoi, and by the Bengali poet and artist Rabindranath Tagore, both of whom worked towards the creation of a "people’s university". To their minds, this was to be a communal residence for families, educators and children.
Parents are the first educators; together with a group of friends, I have founded IDEAL Society in order to offer students of all ages, specifically future parents, the best conditions in which they might learn through experience, in keeping with the three-fold dimension of the human being: thought, feelings and the will".
